This adorable matching sweater and pants combination is as warm and cozy as cute! This matching sweater and pants set features a thick, squishy texture that is perfect for keeping babies and toddlers comfortable all year round. If you have already knitted a project or two and want to try something new, this is a great way to learn the half fisherman’s rib.

I’ve designed this pattern with a relaxed fit so that children can enjoy wearing it for multiple seasons as they grow.

The sweet raglan sweater is knitted top-down and in one piece.

It includes some back shaping for a better fit. Dressing is easy thanks to the practical button opening at the side.

The matching pants are also knitted top-down and in one piece. Some short rows are also worked to include simple shaping in the back to give extra room for movement.

Knitters can easily follow along with the complete step-by-step video tutorial, which explains all the necessary techniques. While it’s recommended that you are confident with knitting, purling, basic increases, and the magic loop technique —all are also demonstrated in the video!

The pattern is available in a wide range of sizes, from Newborn to 6 years, offering a comfortable fit with extra room for growth. The sample shown is the 1-3 month size (56-62cm). (See complete measures of the garment in the image “Measurements”.)
