This pattern is for a light, flowy cardigan with NO SEWING as it’s made in one piece, from the top down.
It was designed following the Abigail Fairy Dress style, with a touch of whimsy. It is written in a more conversational style, and it asks you to make design decisions as you go along. It is best suited to intermediate, experienced crocheters, but the instructions are clear, and there are many pictures to help.

I’ve included stitch counts for size 4-6 yo, but instructions for custom sizing relies on measurements only. I’ve used 560m for size 4-6yo. You’ll need 700 - 1000 for larger sizes, up to 1400m for adult plus sizes (depending on the length you want it).

This pattern has been well tested and checked, but if you have any suggestions, or there is something you need help with, I’m very responsive, willing and happy to help!

I’ve used a gradient yarn cake which I deconstructed, managing the colour transitions as I went. I have included some instructions on how to do this, but you will need to manage this to your own preferences.

Other suitable yarns are Twirls Deluxe, as well as Scheepjes Whirl. It is also possible to use thicker yarn, with a hook size to match, using only the measurements instead of stitch counts.

I have invested a dizzying number of hours on this project, and poured much love into it. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Best, always
Christel
