Accent Stripe Socks

Accent Stripe Socks were designed to add a small pop of color to a simple pair of socks. The accent lines at the toe and near the cuff offer an easy way to play with different color combinations, from calm neutrals to bright, playful colors.

The vertical stripes are worked in stranded colorwork using only knit stitches. The small repeating motif keeps the floats short, making this an approachable project for knitters who would like to try or practice stranded colorwork.

Sizes
70 (80) sts
To fit foot circumference: approx. 20.5–23 (23–26) cm / 8.1–9.1 (9.1–10.2) in
Finished sock circumference after blocking: approx. 20 (23) cm / 7.9 (9.1) in
Foot length: adjustable to fit approx. 23–30 cm / 9.1–11.8 in by changing where the gusset increases begin.

Yarn
Fingering-weight sock yarn in 3 colors
MC: approx. 50–60 g
CC: approx. 25–30 g
AC: approx. 5 g

Sample shown in Opal Uni Solid 4-ply / 4-fach. Other fingering-weight sock yarns may be used as long as you can match the pattern gauge.

Needles
2.25 mm / US 1 — toe, heel, and cuff
2.5 mm / US 1½ — stranded colorwork

The pattern is written for Magic Loop using an 80 cm circular needle, but DPNs may also be used by distributing the stitches to maintain the same stitch arrangement.

Gauge after blocking
Stockinette: 31 sts × 42 rnds = 10 cm / 4 in on 2.25 mm needles
Stranded colorwork: 35 sts × 33 rnds = 10 cm / 4 in on 2.5 mm needles

The toe begins with a Turkish Cast On and is shaped with increases. The heel combines gusset shaping, German Short Rows, and a slipped-stitch heel flap.

Accent Stripe Socks

シンプルな靴下に少しだけアクセントを加えたくて、つま先とカフ付近にラインを入れたデザインです。落ち着いた配色から明るく遊び心のある配色まで、色の組み合わせを楽しんでいただけます。

縦のストライプ部分は、すべて表編みで編む2色の編み込みです。小さな模様を繰り返すため渡り糸が短く、編み込みを初めて試してみたい方や、練習してみたい方にも取り組みやすいパターンです。

対応する足まわりの目安：約20.5〜23（23〜26）cm
水通し後の完成靴下の足まわり：約20（23）cm
足長：約23〜30 cmまで、マチの増し目を始める位置を変えることで調整できます。

Fingering weight のソックヤーン 3色
MC：約50〜60 g
CC：約25〜30 g
AC：約5 g

サンプルには Opal Uni Solid 4-ply / 4-fach を使用しています。指定ゲージが取れるFingering weight のソックヤーンであれば、他の糸でも編むことができます。

針

パターンは80 cm輪針を使ったマジックループで書かれていますが、同じ位置関係になるように目を分ければ、4本針・5本針でも編むことができます。

編み込み部分：35目 × 33段 = 10 cm（2.5 mm針）
