This adorable piece was created as a gift for my surgeon who had a big dinosaur collection in his office. As a token of appreciation I wanted to make him a crochet plushy for his collection, and he loved it. This adorable triceratops is a soft and huggable plushy that contains safety eyes and has nail details for a more realistic look. 14 nails to be exact.

Yarn used - Loops & Threads Demi Purl (Bulk 6) Vibrant Green
Amount of Yarn used : You will need a little more than ½ skein for this project
You can use any yarn you desire, I personally love the Demi Purl because of its softness and flexibility to work with it.
Safety eyes size: 12 mm
White scrap yarn for nails, preferred bulk 6
Polyester fiberfill: a little less than ½ a bag of 20 oz. It depends on how firm you want to make it.
Stitch markers
Scissors
4mm hook (You can use the hook size you feel more comfortable with to alter the size of the piece. Please take into consideration the yarn size and the stitch tension if you decide to change hooks)
Yarn needle for weaving ends

Finish product approximate measurements using the 4 mm hook and the Loops and Threads Demi Pearl yarn: 8 x 6 x 5 inches approximately

This pattern takes approximately 3 hours to be completed.
