Cozy fingerless mitts with an acorn motif decorating the top of the hand. Perfect for a single skein of worsted weight yarn. This pattern is perfect for creating long mitts that keep your fingers warm but still available for use.

The mittens are worked in the round from the cuff to the base of the palm in one piece.

Please note: the stitch pattern in this cowl is charted only.

Pattern includes charts (for mittens sice M and L) and explanation of all the methods used: reading charts, basic decreases (ssk; k2tog; ssp; p2tog; sl 1, k2tog, psso), increase M1. The acorn pattern is easy to memorize.

Materials: Less then one skein (by weight 100g) of any Worsted weight yarn.
Needles: Size US 4 (3.5 mm) set of double pointed needles or circular needle (length which suits you) of the same size (or size required to obtain gauge).
Gauge: 26 stitches x 34 rows = 10 cm x10 cm (4” x 4”) in rib pattern.
Others:2 stitch markers, stitches holder or waste yarn.
Finished sizes: M – to fit 17-19 cm / 6 ½-7 ½“ at knuckles,
L – to fit 20-22 cm / 7 ½“-8 ½“ at knuckles..
