Winter is here with a vengeance! If you do not stay warm you will have a miserable winter and to this end I decided to design an adult earflap hat that is the “Cold Weather Solution” for 2017.
This hat was designed to give full coverage to the cheeks and neck while still being fashionable.
I knit this wool blend yarn in the round and the end result is a warm head-hugging chapeau that will shelter you from the wind and snow. It is knit in one piece on dpn needles and the long dangly pompom adds just the right touch to give a bit of sassiness.
The entire design requires two balls of Lions Pride Woolspun (5) and is not a difficult knit at all. Give it a try in any chunky warm yarn and you too will keep warm over the upcoming cold spell.
