The Advent Scarf is a simple project that I started in the New Year to use up the beautiful mini skeins from my 2024 Loom Wool yarn advent. I’ve had many questions about it so I’ve written up the instructions. Although it’s designed to be used with a yarn advent, it works perfectly well with any mini skeins and you can also sub in any 4ply/fingering weight yarn.

The finished size is fairly huge: 30cm x 270cm so it makes a great statement piece. You can easily adjust the finished measurements by casting on more or less stitches to alter the width - the wider the scarf, the shorter it will be. You can also simply work less rounds.

I’ve absolutely loved working on my scarf this year - it’s been such a soothing, relaxing project that has kept me company throughout the changing seasons and passing months. I hope you enjoy working on yours too!
