’After the Rain’ is a 12”/30.5cm granny square when made with #4 (Aran) weight 100% cotton yarn and a 5mm/H hook.

It is easily extendable and extremely versatile! Create equally beautiful smaller squares by doing less rounds - or go large!

The BLOsc rounds create a lovely frame, as you can see in the listing images that show the square at 5.5 inches and at 8 inches - I can see a baby blanket in these smaller squares, what do you think??

This square could also easily move beyond 12 inches and into blanket territory! You are only limited by your imagination

You could also use #3/DK weight with a 4mm hook, or experiment with blends or premium acrylics.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited and then fully tested by multiple crocheters. It contains no errors and every single tester absolutely loved making her! This brings me so much joy and I can’t wait to hear what you think of this square too :-)

I have grand granny square blanket plans for this one! :D

This is an intermediate level pattern written in US terminology.

Standard stitches are used along with bobbles, front posts, crossed stitches and invisible joins.

Photo tutorials are included for specialty stitches and techniques, for your convenience. No hunting for anything you’re not familiar with; you can just get to hooking!!
