Agave and Reposado are the first two designs in the Tequila Series, my latest collaboration with the lovely people at YOTH.

In this series, I’m exploring different textures and yarn weights, and leaning towards cooler colors, such as greens and browns. With these first two designs, I also wanted to focus on the change in season from winter to spring at this time of year.

For the last snows of winter, Agave is the first knit in the series. A quick, cozy hat that celebrates dense cables and thick yarn. It’s simple and satisfying and can be done in plenty of time to wear as February turns into March.

Knit in a fresh, pale green or a deep, complex gray, the lines of these cables are bold and distinct, but still have a lovely softness to them. Agave feels classic, but also modern - and a bit different from your average cabled hat. Look closely and you can see I had a little fun with the design at both brim and crown.

And once you’re wearing your Agave, you can begin Reposado, the next in the series. It’s a delicate tee which will take you into the warmer days of spring.

If you want to make both, pop them in your Ravelry cart and use the code TEQUILA, which will take $1 off each! If you’d like to purchase either one separately, they can be bought solo as listed above.
