knitting worsted-weight acrylic was used for sample; needle and hook sizes correspond. Any gauge yarn may be used with appropriate-sized needles & hook.

With knitting worsted weight yarn and 3.50mm needles my sample is 9.5”/24cm from farthest curve of trunk to back of elephant and stands 5.5”/14cm tall.

Pattern uses many common knitting techniques but overall should be considered intermediate to advanced.
