GENERAL
Akka is the perfect light garment for those late summer evenings when you need something airy and lightweight to throw on so you can stay outside just a little bit longer. It is a hybrid between a shawl, a poncho and a sweater, but because it is sewn up to get sleeves, it is worn as a sweater.

The fairly simple lace creates a diamond pattern which resembles the common weaving pattern “gåsöga” (goose eye), popular in the Nordic weaving tradition.

The Akka sweater is adapted for 2-ply yarn from Ullcentrum, a light sport weight yarn with a natural heathered colour made from old rustic Swedish sheep breeds.
