Alaria is a gorgeous rectangular shawl that was inspired by the long strands of seaweed that wash up on the beach and roll and curl in the surf or dry out in the sun. The 24 row repeat of long lace cables mimic seaweed while the simple knit side of the shawl is the sand on the beach as you walk along it  Alaria is a corner to corner shawl that decrease a lace and cable pattern turning to simple knit stitch.The decreases also create an beautiful ripple effect.

Yarn requirements
Hobbi Dream colour.  100% wool.  400m (437yds) per skein. You will need 4 skeins to complete the project. Shown here in: Wild Berry.  You can substitute with a fingering (4ply) yarn.
