A sweet rosebud of a sock for popping on tired feet after a satisfying day at a garden show or working hard in your own garden. Perfect in lovely pinks, dark reds, or pale yellow to show off your special roses. Most of this sock is simple stocking stitch with 3 rows of lacework per repeat to create pretty lines of rosesbuds on your feet.

This pattern gives full instructions for a pair of top-down socks in 56, 60 and 64 stitches, with 1x1 ribbing, a shadow wrap heel, and a star toe. Techniques used are short rows, basic knit, purl and yarn over stitches, twinned and triplet stitches for the heel, and bobbles.

Gauge is 7sts per 2.5cm (1in) and you will need:

225-275m (250-300yds) Sock yarn with 15-25% nylon

2mm and 2.25mm sock knitting needles (DPNS, long circular etc) or sock needles between 2mm and 3mm to achieve your preferred sock size.
