Alaska Spring was inspired by the beauty of spring in Alaska. This pattern came to be on a week of cold winter days, when I missed the sun and the springtime flowers that are a riot of colors.

CONSTRUCTION
Based on the tradition ofIcelandic circular yoke sweaters, Alaska Spring is knit in the round from the bottom up. With options for short sleeves or long sleeves, and waist and bust-shaping this pattern works for lots of bodies. Short rows are worked on the back of the sweater to bring the front of the collar lower than the back. The stranded yoke is worked, and then the ribbed collar finished with JSSBO.
