April Launch Special; all my patterns will be 50% off this month to celebrate this Bring On The Dots pattern launch.

Newport Garden Shawl, a crescent shawl, was inspired by a gorgeous flower garden in Wiseman, Alaska. The picture of the garden is included in the pattern. My husband and I flew in a small prop plane through billowing clouds over the Arctic Circle to tour this northern part of Alaska in 2018. We were so enchanted by the garden that I wanted to design a shawl to commemorate it.

Finished size: The shawl is approximately 56 in / 1.42 m wide tip to tip and 17.75 in / 0.45 m deep at center back.

Skills: It is suitable for an intermediate knitter familiar with charts and a knitted on edge pattern. Instructions are charted and written. Pattern has been tech edited and test knit.

The yarn used in this shawl is beautiful hand dyed from Northern Bee Studios. The body of the shawl is Soft Sock in color Lucid and the edging is Sturdy Sock in color The Madam’s Velvet Couch. You may use Sturdy Sock for both body and edging. Most finger weight yarns may be used.

This crescent shawl is worked from the neck down with an added lace border. It has 2 stitch patterns which each have a rest row between pattern rows. Instructions are charted and written. Pattern has been tech edited and test knit.

Thank you to my tech editor Anna Sorgent at Aeroknits.
