The Albers Scarf is simple knitting and therefore ideal for knitters of any skill level. The interest comes in the creative combinations of colors that the knitter is encouraged to make up as s/he goes along. The Albers Scarf is the ideal stash buster and though we used worsted weight yarn, really any yarn can be used as long as you adjust the width to suit your purposes.
This pattern takes the inspiration for its approach to color from the pioneering work of artist Josef Albers in his book Interaction of Color.
The Albers Scarf is held together in the sculptural cowl formation you see in this pattern by the use of JUL Pedestal buttons, which may be purchased from the JUL website at: http://www.juldesigns.com/resin-pedestal-button-assortmen
Consumers who buy pedestal button assortments will receive the download of this pattern free with their purchase. The pattern is also available as a download for purchase separately and may be worn as a conventional scarf.
