“Albus” is a classic shawl worked flat seamlessly from the basic tab down to borders, featuring the lace stitch pattern with one of a kind mix of motifs, inspired by albus garden fleurs.

Skill Level: Intermediate, although the pattern is beginner friendly (you should be able to read the graphs ans charts).

Original yarn: 163 g of Australian merino wool, 95% merino, 5%
acrylic, 400 m (438 yds) per 100 g skein.

Alternative yarn: 100% wool yarn or some premium blend of fibers, possible with up to 25% acrylic in approx. suggested yardage, e.g.
Valley Yarns Charlemont,
Cascade Yarns Heritage Silk,
Malabrigo Yarn Ultimate Sock,
Laines du Nord Poema, etc.

Circular knitting needles US 6 (4 mm) 40” (100 cm) length cable.

Notions: 3 mm crochet hook; stitch markers; sewing pins for blocking.

It is possible to adjust the finished shawl measurements when choosing some different yarn weight and the corresponding needle size. Total amount of yarn will depend on your personal knitting gauge.
