Alcea Rosea is a blanket design inspired by my love of the Hollyhock. When I was a kid, we had a small garden outside our front door. I remember one year, my mom planted these flowers called hollyhocks. They were huge to 6 year old me and so very pretty. She did not realize they were perennials, so those flowers came up every year until they day we moved. Even though it has been decades, I can still see those flowers as if it were yesterday so come join me as we walk through my childhood garden.

To make the blanket you will need:

MC: 2600 yds worsted weight acrylic
C1: 75 yds worsted weight acrylic
C2: 800 yds worsted weight acrylic
C4: 400 yds worsted weight acrylic
C3, C5: 600 yds worsted weight acrylic
I (5.5 mm) Hook
Locking stitch marker
Tapestry Needle
