Knitrino works like a magazine publishing curated pattern collections for a limited time, after which the rights revert to the designer. This pattern is no longer available in Knitrino.

Knitrino is a newly launched technology created by two sisters publishing interactive patterns. Knitrino is like Google Maps for knitting patterns: Click a stitch to see how to do it, highlight your current place, track your progress step by step, see charts in your yarn colors, see only your size, and more. Knitrino’s goal is to make knitting more accessible, and to help people grow into the knitters they aspire to be! This innovative app is for knitters longing for better pattern usability and navigation using small screens. There is no PDF associated with this pattern. It is available in both iOS and Android, download at:

Apple App Store
Play Store

Knitrino kits are sold out, but you can pre-order yours directly from Less Traveled Yarn featuring 3 colors of hand-dyed yarn in Olive (green), Loam (dusty pink), and Alchemy of Herbs (speckled).

Beautiful in its simplicity, Alchemist’s Moon by designer Saysha Greene is the perfect introduction for those new brioche. Combined with Knitrino’s tools we think you’ll feel like Lacey who wrote:

I’ve tried brioche knitting a few times before and never been able to get the hang of it, but with knitrino I had the hang of it after a few rows!

Knitting Author Elizabeth Zimmerman described brioche rib as “prime rib” and you’ll see why: this hat has an amazing squish factor with plenty of stretch. You’ll love watching the brioche take shape, whether you’re an experienced or aspiring brioche knitter! And with 5 sizes available to choose from, you’ll enjoy knitting Alchemist’s Moon for everyone you know.

Those newer to brioche may also opt for our 1.5-hour Intro to Brioche class on Saturday, October 9, at 1pm EDT (GMT -4). The class will also be recorded for those unable to attend live. Feel free to email support@knitrino.com with questions.

Construction: Stylish and suitable for all genders, this hat is worked from the crown to the brim, beginning with a magic circle cast on. It is shaped using only increases, and ends with a brim that is folded over and grafted to the hat body - the perfect finishing touch to this fully-reversible hat. The pattern is written to be worked on double pointed needles for the crown and a small-circumference circular needle, but can easily be worked using magic loop with a long circumference needle or with Flexi Flips. Note that the sample is turned inside out after working (so colors will look opposite while working if choosing the kit.)

What knitters are saying about Knitrino

“Wendy: Keeping track and following a pattern in Knitrino is effortless in a way I didn’t know I was missing till I had it.”

McKenzie: “I am super impressed with Knitrino. I thought working from an app would feel cumbersome, but instead it has made my usual pattern placekeeping system on paper seem cumbersome.”

Michelle: “I never want to knit another pattern that’s not in Knitrino ever again.”

We know Knitrino isn’t for everyone. We are a small indie production of quality, curated patterns, like a magazine. You cannot import PDFs (there are good tools for this already). Because of the nature of our interactive tools each pattern is lovingly built by us and takes countless hours to create. We are aiming to uplift the creative work of indie designers and pay them generously upfront, about twice what most magazines pay. Please reach out to us with any questions support@knitrino.com
