This hat is knit in the round, once the earflaps have been made and attached using a provisional cast-on between them. Charts for the colourwork are included and are in numbered order.

A second circular 2.5 mm needle (US 1 1/2) or DPNs are useful for when the decreases begin; there are too few stitches to go around the needle after the first few decreases. I also use a fine crochet hook for the provisional cast-on.

The hat uses three skeins of DROPS Alpaca in different colours, however you only need about half of each skein.
