Allegramente (Italian for ‘cheerfully’) is a two-color bandana-style cowl, designed for DK or Worsted weight yarns.

The cowl is worked flat starting from the top, then after the final stitch has been bound-off, the flat edges are seamed together using the mattress stitch to complete the round neckline.
The first section is made of easy garter stitch, whereas the second section consists of a beautiful lace pattern, which requires just a little bit of concentration, making this cowl fun and engaging to knit.

YARN
Pascuali Alpaca Fino (100% Alpaca wool (Baby Alpaca), 50 g ~ 100 m | 1.76 oz ~ 109 yds):
2 skeins in color A, shown in Moss Green
1 skeins in color B, shown in Pistachio

For my sample I used 1.95 skeins of color A (195 m / 212 yds) and 0.8 skeins of color B (80 m / 87 yds).
Please note that yardage is an estimate and depends on knitting style, tension, yarn and needles used.

Also, please note that as the cowl required almost all of the 2 skeins of color A, I suggest you use color B to make your gauge swatch.

NEEDLES
4 mm / US 6 (4.5 mm / US 7 for bind off) long circular recommended
Or size needed to obtain proper gauge.
