About the pattern

This is an intermediate Tunisian crochet lace pattern for a triangular headscarf or large bandana, which can be worn in many different ways.

It is built from the tip at the bottom, with layers upon layers of lacy 4-petal flowers.

Each row is unique, so care must be taken when following the pattern. The flower motifs repeat across the fabric in offset rows.

The scarf is made in very thin lace yarn, which allows the lacy motifs to stand out and makes the fabric light and elegant. If choosing to use a thicker yarn, you can make a large shawl.

Measurements

When meeting gauge and working all rows in the pattern, the triangle measures 102 cm or 40” across the top and 51 cm or 20” in depth. A thicker yarn will make a shawl.

Skill level

Intermediate - you will work with yarn overs (eyelets), increases, changing repeats.
