Lace is always synonymous with elegance and sophistication, and this rectangular shawl is no exception. Delicate non-variegated lace yarn brings out the well loved ethereal look, but the beauty of these stitch patterns will be exquisite even if you choose to use a thicker yarn. To make reading this pattern easier and to keep track of what section you are knitting, I used several font colors to differentiate between all the sections of this shawl, therefore, I highly recommend printing it in color. I’ve used a silky mohair yarn but you can give this project your own flavor by choosing the size of the yarn and look you prefer. For a delicate piece, choose lace or fingering yarn. For a more textured look, pick some DK or light worsted yarn. Both versions will give you a beautiful result. You will work increases and decreases but this pattern is not overly complicated.

This one would make a beautiful gift for a bride in white, off white or ivory colored yarn.

I used Shibui Silk Cloud (330 yds - 60% kid mohair, 40% silk) in Raspberry - 3 skeins. This yarn has been rebranded as Tosh Silk Cloud - Madelinetosh.

Please link your project to my pattern in Ravelry. I love to see your take on my designs. I spend a lot of time checking and testing my design instructions. In the event you find something that doesn’t seem right, or if you have any questions, contact me right away and I will make sure to respond and/or correct any typo or error.
