Alva is a triangular shawl, worked from the top down with simple but brilliant lace motifs. The increases are made on both sides of the central panel and along the edges of the shawl to make the triangle shape.
Please note: the stitch pattern in this shawl is charted only. All charts rows are right side only, there is no wrong side patterning on this shawl. Any chart have written description in convenient format even for beginners. Besides, the pattern contains a diagram and all used charts in each section of the shawl together on one own page.

I hate to count stitches and rows. Despite the use of different counters, always I get lost stich or row. Therefore, in my designs I try to facilitate counting. In this pattern the row counter is a central panel.

The sample is worked in Exclusive by Gazzal (208 yds (190 m)/ 0.88 Oz (50g)).
Any lace weight yarn will be good for this pattern. It could also be knit in fingering weight yarn.

Finished size after aggressive blocking – 82.7” (210 cm) wingspan along top edge, 36.2” (92 cm) deep.

The pattern was tested.
Many thanks to wonderful test knitters from FTP.
