The Milla is a triangular, slightly asymmetrical, shawl knitted from one corner, perfect for wrapping around your neck and shoulders. The left edge with the Lace Trellis motifs gives the shawl a nice form and makes it easy to count the rows.
Please note: the stitch pattern in this shawl is charted only. Any chart has written description in a convenient format even for beginners.
This pattern contains a diagram and all used charts in each section of the shawl together on one own page. Besides, the pattern gives a written line-by-line description of each chart.
Yarn
The sample is worked in Taiyo Lace by Noro (50% Cotton, 17% Wool, 17% Nylon, 16% Silk (920 yds (841 m)/ 3.53 Oz (100g)). The pattern calls for 800 – 980 yards (750- 900 meters) lace weight yarn.
Finished Measurements
after blocking – – 80.7” (205 cm) wingspan along the top edge, 34.3” (87 cm) deep. Gauge is not critical here so size may vary a little.
The pattern was tested. Many thanks to perfect test knitters from FTP: AgnieszkaSz123, Ayala120, silviapaddy and svetula27.
