Always June is a completely made-to-measure pattern that includes ideas for using your finished piece as a garment, accessory, or even home decor. There are instructions for measuring your body, guided calculations to determine the number of stitches and amount of yarn you will need, and multiple pages of ideas for modifications to make this piece as unique as you are!

Materials

Any yarn weight and any needle size that creates a fabric you like!
Most yarns will come with a recommended needle size and you can use that as a starting point.

Gauge

Create a fabric you like! I caution against using too loose of a gauge if you want to wear your piece as a top…unless you are into a see-through look!
Pattern includes instructions to help you determine your stitch counts based on your unique gauge
TIP: Gauge swatches should be at least 5’ / 12.5 cm square to get an accurate measurement of your gauge. Make the most of this and turn your gauge swatch into a coaster, washcloth, or trivet!

Sample Details

This pattern is completely made-to-measure, but for comparison, the details of the sample are as follows:

The sample was knit in Urth Yarns Uneek Fingering in Harmony (435 yds / 398 m per 100g)
The gauge for the sample was 27 stitches and 40 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch worked flat, blocked on US 5 /3.75 mm needles
Sample was knit to a width of 6.5” / 16.25 cm and length of 60” / 150 cm
Cast on 43 stitches and implemented eyelet rows as a design element 2 rows after CO and 2 rows before BO
Sample used 94g total
