Alyssa is our best selling ready-to-wear product. It was originally machine-knitted but has been so popular that after many requests we’ve developed a hand knitting pattern.
It’s a versatile circular scarf that can be worked in many cowgirlblues yarn weights.
The scarf is knit in the round, on large size needles to create the cobweb effect, and the pattern repeats, using stitch-holders to create the tucks.

When knitting Alyssa it is important to keep the cast-on and cast-off edges as loose as the rest of your knitting. We recommend using a bigger needle for the cast-on, or casting on over two needles held together.

The cover piece is knit in a variegated cowgirlblues 2-ply Lace, the inside image is in cowgirlblues KidSilk.

You could also use our Merino Lace Single, or for something slightly heaver try it in the Merino Sock, Merino DK or even Merino Handspun.
