The Amaoto Shawl is a small shawl worked in stockinette st: on the RS rows, you increase along the right edge until you reach the center, then decrease from the center to the end. Because it has a central turning point, you can easily adjust the size to your preference if you weigh your yarn before starting.

Special techniques
Loose long-tail cast-on
Place your right thumb and index finger on the RH needle, between the st just worked and where the next st will be, to create a little space between the sts and CO loosely.
