Amaranth is a light, airy cardigan inspired by the graceful amaranth plant. It has an open front, an easy to memorize botanical lace pattern, and looks beautiful layered over jeans, dresses and everything in between. This cardigan is sure to be a summer wardrobe staple!

Amaranth is worked seamlessly from the top down. The back and sleeves are cast on first and the body and neckline are formed by raglan shaping. The body is worked flat and the sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm to the cuff. Blocking the cardigan before working the I-Cord edge along the fronts will give the best finish.
