This design celebrates “that skein you fell in love” with because it was just so perfect. The design is written to show the yarn as you first saw it, as a hank. It would work well and oh, so many great yarns from Indie Dyers. I used 3 different dyers for my samples and love them ALL for different reasons !!!!

YARNS:
This piece is knit in fingering weight yarn, using about 200g of yarn.
I am using a more solid, tonal, or plain color for COLOR 1.
I am using a ‘hank dyed’, color burst yarn for the COLOR 2.
This pattern was created to show the beauty you see in a yarn as it appears in the hank. The stripes mimic the yarn hank. Please note that in my samples, the different fibers all knit up and blocked very differently. See Ravelry Projects page for other yarn colors, and tester or knitter yarn choices.

GAUGE & Needles: using US 05’s (3.75 mm) and in the Stocking Knit areas, before blocking
Needle type, I used a round needle for most of it, but also needed a secondary needle at the end for a
Three needle Bind Off; for that I used an additional DPN.
(I checked in my knitting, but also verified with a swatch)
24 stitches to 4” &
32 rows to 4”
Gauge is not crucial, except for the need of buying enough yarn and for piece.

SIZE: with a hard block this is a generous size - 22-23” tall at center & 44-48” wide at the top.

Notions: 10 stitch markers & needle or hook to tuck in ends
