The Amber Sunset Scarf is a free crochet patter on my blog.

This easy infinity scarf is worked in a continuous round from the bottom up — no joining, no turning, and no seams to sew. Alternating bands of third-loop half double crochet and center single crochet create a knit-look ribbed texture using only two basic stitches, so the finished scarf looks far more complicated than it is.

The sample uses a self-striping yarn cake, which means the ombre stripes happen on their own. No color changes, no carrying yarn, and no extra ends to weave in.

Hook: H (5.0 mm)
Yarn: Weight 4 medium; sample shown in Caron Blossom Cakes, Tropical Blooms (61% cotton / 39% acrylic), 10 oz / 600 yards
Finished size: Approx. 15” wide x 34” circumference
Gauge: 17 sts in pattern x 15 rounds = 4” x 4”
