This Americana Hat is the cutest decoration to celebrate Memorial Day, the 4th of July and/or Labor Day! It makes a great gift for a veteran, school teacher, church, community center, etc. The possibilities are endless for what you can put inside the bowl. It can hold candy, a 4” diameter candle or glass jar, a small roll of toilet paper, plastic silverware or rolled napkins at your next cookout, etc. You’re only limited by your imagination!

This pattern is very easy and the only stitches you need to know are the single crochet and the crab stitch (reverse single crochet). The crab stitch is optional and can easily be replaced with single crochets.

There are two striped versions available and both styles are included in the instructions. You will need about 7 star buttons to stitch around the blue band of the hat. You will also need an H/8 (5.00 mm) hook.

This pattern works up quickly, which is great if you want to make many at one time.
