This is a top-down, oversized, circular yoke sweater. “Amikomi” is a Japanese word meaning “stranded knitting”. It offers a relaxed and cozy fit in both the sleeves and the body. You can adjust the body and sleeves lengths as you like, but note that this will affect the required amount of yarn.
It is worked in the round starting from the ribbed neck, with a double knitting border worked around it, then the yoke is worked down to the underarms. For a visual appeal, several sets of short rows are added between the colorwork pattern to make the back higher. After the sleeves are separated, the body is worked in round to the ribbed hem. The sleeves are also knit in the round.
The pattern includes two versions charts: Multicolor and Monochrome.
Differences from my “Amikomi Yoke Cardigan” pattern: On this sweater, all rows of the yoke start at the back of the left sleeve where the jog is least noticeable. Therefore, the short sections are different from the cardigan. The sizes are also different.
