An Italian Spring Shawlette is a simple shallow triangular shawl, featuring garter stitch and eyelets. Easy to knit, easy to wear!

Yarn
100 g of Knitting for Olive Merino or Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250 meters (273 yards) / 50 g)

Measurements
Width: 170 cm (67 inch)
Height: 32 cm (13 inch)

Needles
3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles, at least 100 cm (39 inch) long

Gauge
19 sts and 44 rows in 10 cm (4 inch) in garter stitch

Notes

  • The shawlette is worked flat, back and forth, with a bottom-up construction: from the tip at the lower end towards the cast-off edge at the top. It features garter stitch and beautiful eyelets throughout.
  • You can easily adjust the length based on the amount of yarn you have (keep knitting until you have just enough yarn to work the cast-off edge – or until you’re happy with the size).
