This pattern is knit in the round either on two circular needles or a set of double-pointed needles. Double-pointed needles will be useful for the thumb gusset.

The lace pattern is tricky as it is worked every row.

To lengthen the mitts either do another lace pattern repeat. The lace is only worked on the back of the hand.
