These flowers are the perfect thing to lay around the table for easter, surround candles on christmas, or just to decorate for a tea party or picnic.

You must have knowledge of the magic ring, double crochet, and chaining. Otherwise, I would say this is a beginner pattern.

The measurements are 3 inches tall and 3 inches wide. Of course, by using a bigger hook and bigger yarn, you could get a bigger flower, and vise versa.

You can use any DK yarn, but 100% cotton does not work the best. I used Baby Bee yarn from Hobby Lobby. You only need very little yarn, so you could just use scraps from your other projects. I would say I used an estimated 3 feet, maybe a little more or less.

These flowers take about ten minutes, making them a good project to make a flower garland with or a last minute gift. I like use these when wrapping presents instead of decorative ribbon. I think it makes a nice little personal touch!

I would like to thank Leonie Morgan’s Christmas star pattern, for that was the inspiration for these flowers. If you try that pattern, then maybe you will see the similarities between these two patterns.

Gauge is not important in this pattern.
