Aphrodite, the ancient Greek goddess of love, was born from the sea in a large scallop shell. This feminine shawl would be right up her alley. A delicate allover lace pattern is bordered with frilly “shells.”

This shallow triangular shawl is worked from the top down, beginning with a garter tab and finished with a picot bind off. If you prefer to change the size of this shawl, instructions are given in the applicable sections for adding or subtracting repeats. The first edging pattern lace is worked on both the RS and WS. Both written and charted instructions are included.
