I’m so excited about this one!

I’m a teacher, so the iconic apple is one that I love. I’m happy to design something that would be nice for any teacher on your Christmas list to have in his/her classroom, or for you to make for your own classroom.

This pattern has both a short hand written pattern, as well as a chart, so that you can use either that you are comfortable with. Also included, is a link to a youtube video to help you understand how to do filet crochet. Here it is, too, so that if you are not sure you can do it, you can watch and learn how easy it is. :)

I’ve also included a youtube video link to how to do the chainless foundation row, which gives a nicer finish in my opinion, and keeps you from having to count many chains.

If you would like to hang this banner, you will need either a dowel rod, or a stick from your backyard. Dowel rods that measure 12” are easy to find already cut at any craft store, but this design is wider. In the picture is a 16” dowel rod that I had them cut at Home Depot. It’s just barely big enough, and I would recommend 18” if you can. I put tiny rubber bands on the ends so that the yarn would not fall off the ends too, which might help you if you have a short dowel rod.

Please do not give this pattern out free, or sell it, as it is my design. You CAN sell finished items made from this pattern, or give those out as much as you want.
