Applin
This is a pattern for Applin, from Pokemon! He’s a small doll, sitting around 6” (~15 cm) and worked with a variety of crochet techniques in rows and the round. It even includes a bit of basic color work! I stuffed him with scraps of fabric from sewing projects to give him a firm structure, so he sits very pretty on my desk.
The gauge provided is the generic gauge for Caron Simply Soft and a 4mm hook, but gauge is not important to this work. It’s more important that you use a hook that gives you a firm, tight weave to ensure there aren’t gaps that expose the stuffing. If you use a different yarn, be sure to make test swatches to ensure you’re using an appropriate hook.
Happy Crafting!
