Aqua Vida = Water of Life

When Robin, owner of The Knittin’ Coop, asked me to design a shawl to go with her VAKNITSVA yarn crawl custom colorway, I was IN!! Robin loves, loves, loves the ocean. Over the years I have been friends with her, she has always talked about how the ocean is her place where she finds rest and centering. So, this pattern is named after her love of the ocean, aka Aqua Vida. Her place, that is her water of life.

This cute little shawlette pattern was created to be a one skein wonder. That being said, the pattern can EASILY be adapted to make it larger. In fact, THE BIGGER THE BETTER as I always say!!!

A simple, elongated lace stitch and a simple slipped stich pattern create a richly textured, easy, and satisfying quick knit for the intrepid beginner and the highly seasoned knitter alike. Using a solid, semi-solid, or highly variegated yarn will truly make a statement piece that will be worn, enjoyed and commented upon for years to come.
