The Arboraceous Hat is a textured, cable-knit design inspired by the quiet structure of tree branches. It feels organic, balanced, and deeply satisfying to knit.

Worked in the round from the bottom up, this hat features a flowing criss-cross cable pattern that creates movement without complexity. The fabric is created by holding a DK wool together with a laceweight mohair/silk, resulting in a soft, warm knit with a subtle halo and beautiful stitch definition.

Two styles are included: a classic fitted beanie and a relaxed slouchy version.

Construction:
Bottom-up, in the round, with integrated cable pattern and crown shaping

Yarn:
DK weight wool + laceweight mohair/silk held together
(Approx. 60g DK + 15g mohair/silk)

Needles:
US 4 (ribbing) and US 5 (body)

Sizes:
Small–Medium, Medium–Large

Skill Level:
Intermediate (basic cables)
