Did you know? A portion of the proceeds of selected Skeinwalker designs will be donated to aid organizations to help refugees of the war in Ukraine.

This currently applies to the Get Lacy I and Get Lacy II bundles. You can purchase the bundles at a discount. Or, if you can afford it, please consider not using the discount codes so that the amount collected for donations to war victims and refugees will be higher. The bundles are on sale until April 30th, 2022, or until I have finished designing a fundraiser cowl (whatever comes first last!).

High in the tree tops, leaves rustle in the wind, a gentle and calming music.
I hear a bird singing, joyful and determined. It’s a whole different world up there, teeming with life, and yet inaccessible to us, humans… Imagine life in the canopy, full of mystery, catching moisture, sun, and wind as day and night go by.
The Arboricole cowl is inspired by all things “tree”. The cowl playfully features bold twisted traveling cables — reminiscent of steady trunks and graceful vines — climbing up the cowl, and a lace stitch pattern of exuberant canopies. Are you ready to explore the canopy too? Then come join us on this playful journey and wrap yourself in leafy comfort!

For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.

Renaissance Dyeing Merinos d’Arles (Fingering; 100% Merino; 380 meters / 416 yards per 100 grams); 2 skeins; sample uses 147 grams in color Jade.

Note: obtaining the gauge given is not crucial but will affect the finished size and the yardage needed.
