Arbors is a top-down pullover knit in a DK-weight yarn, with raglan increases and simple sleeve lacemotif construction. Make it short sleeve in a cotton blend for summer, and a longer-sleeve version in
wool for winter! Arbors features twisted ribbing at the neck, body hem, and sleeve hems. The rest of the body is largely stockinette, so it flies off the needles. Increases occur at the raglans to create
a flattering line and customizable panel widths.

With a modest amount of ease at the chest (2 to 5 inches, positive) and upper arm (3⁄4 to 2-1⁄2 inches, positive), and no default body shaping the fit truly is tee-like.

Samples pictured were made with HiKoo CoBaSi DK, since spring/summer weight tops were desired. However, any yarn approximating to DK weight and making gauge could be used - this opens the pattern up to high flexibility with regard to finished weight and appearance. It is intended as a unisex, flexible, staple pattern that is excellent for traveling and group knitting (because it’s MOSTLY stockinette). Do it solid, speckled, striped…I would LOVE to see all the possibilities!

With CoBaSi DK in mind, the ELEVEN sizes (finished chest measurements 30 to 72.5 inches/76 to 184 cm) made like the samples shown (short sleeve and mid-hip length body) require 5 to 12 skeins of yarn, or 540-1390 yards, depending on the size.
