Inspired by a pair of tarot themed mystery skeins, these socks were designed to let you channel your inner stitch witch as you use some fun techniques to shape these adorable shorties!

These socks allow you to use up coordinating partial skeins in some simple colorwork. You begin at the cuff with a Provisional Cast-On, and after adding a little length to the cuff you join your live stitches to the stitches at the cast-on edge, giving a beautiful folded cuff. German short rows are incorporated as you start shaping the heel using simple increases, which will raise the back of the sock. After working the heel and the heel turn, simple colorwork is worked around the arch of your foot before continuing to add length and eventually shape the toes!

The instructions are written to accommodate the magic loop method, but are easily worked using double-pointed-needles if preferred!

Here are links to the project pages for the samples: blue sample, pink sample.
