Arch Street Beanie is a cozy DK-weight hat featuring a simple two-stitch cross pattern that can be worked with or without a cable needle. The ribbing is integrated into the stitch pattern for a modern, brimless design that is highly stretchable and comfortable. The stitch pattern flows smoothly into the crown shaping, creating a polished finish. This version is knit in Sandnes Garn Double Sunday, shown in Blackberry Juice for the larger size and Grey Heather for the smaller size.

I love designing hats with built-in stretch and simple texture — they’re approachable to knit, easy to gift, and work well in both classic and modern wardrobes. The cabling is written out fully in words — no charts needed — making this pattern beginner-friendly for those new to cables.
