Arctic Sailor Sweater has been inspired by the Varanger Fjord, the easternmost fjord in Norway. The name ‘Varanger’ refers to a fishing village. The sweater has same colors as the fishing boats in the area and the pattern refers to sailing boats.

This timeless sweater pattern is unisex and it comes in five different adult sizes. Because the sweater is knitted top-down, you can easily customize the body and sleeve lengths by stopping before or continuing after the recommended length measurements.

The collar and the rest of the sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch using yarn dominance technique (jacquard technique). A seamless round yoke follows with increase intervals throughout the work. Sleeve separation creates the distinction between armholes and body. The yoke flows into the body with the same pattern. The tapered sleeves are knitted top-down and in the round as well.
