Arctika is a classic ribbed hat featuring a folded brim in a textured rib pattern. The crown shaping creates a snowflake-inspired detail. The hat is knit from the brim up to the crown. So pretty, so easy! Knit and enjoy!

The pattern is written for two yarn weights and includes both written instructions and photo tutorials for the textured ribbing.

Arctika on päätä myötäilevä joustinneulepipo, jonka leveä alakäänne muodostuu kuviojoustinneuleesta. Päälaen kavennukset muodostavat kuvion, joka muistuttaa jääkidettä. Pipo neulotaan alareunasta päälakea kohti. Ohje on kahdelle eri lankavahvuudelle.

YARNS and NEEDLES
Yarn Option A: Malabrigo Rios: 100 % Superwash Merino Wool, color 412 Teal Feather, 100 g = 192 m/210 yd

Yarn Option B: Sirdar Snuggly Cashmere Merino Silk: 75 % Merino Wool, 20 % Silk, 5 % Cashmere, color 406, 50 g = 116 m/127 yd

You need approx. 90 g of yarn for the beanie.
A: 90 g/173 m/190 yd or
B: 90 g/209 m/229 yd

Gauge
Yarn Option A: 24 stitches/26 rows = 10 cm (4”) in k4 x p2 -rib unstretched
Yarn Option B: 26 stitches/27 rows = 10 cm (4”) in k4 x p2 -rib unstretched

Circular needles 3.5-4 mm/40-50 cm (US 4-6/16-20”) and double-pointed needles 3.5-4 mm (US 4-6) or size needed to obtain gauge.
