Deceptively simple to work and doubly attractive, this loose-fitting cowl employs tuck stitches to show off a variegated light worsted weight yarn to its best effect. Two methods of working the stitch means that you can select the method that feels comfortable for you, or even alternate methods depending on your kinesthetic preference or needed level of concentration.

Method 1 uses brioche-style knitting to work the tuck stitch.
Method 2 employs an “after-the-fact” dropped stitch technique to transform 1x1 ribbing into tuck stitch fabric.

Select two main colors that will help the contrast colorway shine; painterly contrast colors look fantastic in this pattern!
