During the cool summers on the Oregon coast, we often find ourselves in a conundrum. It’s sunny enough that we need a hat with a brim but cool enough that we choose a beanie instead, leaving ourselves squinty, irritated, and over-dressed for the season. (Of course we have sunglasses. But why do they always get so lost so quickly?). Anyway. This little sun hat solves the problem--it’s lightweight, the brim has a nice little bounce, and the fishnet pattern adds a bit of extra warmth while also being very breathable. The surprising thing about fine wool is that sometimes it’s not as hot as it sounds!

Pattern calls for sock yarn and size US 4 / 3.5mm needles.
