Arrietty Backless Top
This will be delivered in forms of a PDF file, in which you will find access to the spreadsheet link.
The Arrietty Backless Top is a boatneck summer top, featuring a cut-out back, waist tie and curved hem. This pattern uses adaptive math to ensure a custom fit regardless of your gauge or body measurements.
This is an advanced beginner to intermediate knit, and it is worked from the top down. First, the top of the front panel is worked until underarm. The back panel is worked separately top-down then joined in the shoulders and underarm.
This garment uses integrated I-cord edge for the cut-out back and hems, and selvedge edging is used for the armholes.
The rest of the body is worked flat due to the cut-out back style, shaping the bust and waist along the way. Japanese short row technique is used to shape the curve of the bottom front panel, and the double knitted tie is picked up after finishing the main body.
This is a made-to-measure pattern with an interactive spreadsheet for you to input your information. You will need your body measurements and your blocked swatch before beginning. This pattern allows you to use any yarn and any needle size you wish.
You will find links to access video tutorials for certain techniques, the interactive spreadsheet, and diagrams in this pattern.
